Hello, Parents of ASA Swimmers.

Following are the details for the ASA Meet on Thursday, June 27 at the GA Tech Campus Recreation Center - 750 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA.

Meet as a Team in front of the CRC: 7:30am - advised to pre-pay for parking, see below. Arrive in your team suit.

DoubleGate Building Entry Time: 7:30am - We must enter together!

DoubleGate Warm Up: 8-8:15am in the girls pool lanes 7-8. Meet begins at 9:30am.

DoubleGate Team Seating: 1/2 On Deck Bleacher N Row All (the team will go to our assigned seating area before warm ups, parents sit in the spectator area - see diagram here)

Heat Sheet: See attached for the heat sheet or click here. There will not be printed copies available at the meet. Pay attention to order of events - they are not in the normal order. The meet is run through Meet Mobile, not Swimtopia. 

We have been asked to provide a runner and awards worker as a volunteer. See email from Katie Shenoy with assignments.

SPECTATORS – Spectators are welcome at this year’s meet, admission is free. Spectators must remain in the spectator gallery in designated spectator seating areas. Spectators are not allowed on the pool deck, unless they have a credential as a meet volunteer or designated team official. Spectators should not sit in the team seating areas located over the diving well.

Food/Drink - Small coolers that can fit under the seats are allowed. Please bring your own drinks and food as there will be limited concessions at the meet.

We just got a new update from Georgia Tech. 10th Street will be closed much earlier than originally announced. What was originally a 2 pm closure is now a 4 am closure. This does not change the fact that you should avoid that area anyway, but it does have a little more impact on the teams swimming in the morning. Bottom line, your best means of getting to the pool for either session will likely be to use I 75 and the Northside Drive exit to get to the pool. It avoids most of the chaos in midtown and along the connector. Again, please plan some extra time into your arrival, and be sure to use your traffic aps to find the best route to get here.

Parking Parking will likely be available in the W10 parking deck that is adjacent to the front entrance of the CRC. Parking in that deck will be via PREPAID PARKING ONLY, you cannot pay at arrival. To purchase parking please visit https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events Parking costs will be between $12-15. This is the deck attached to the building. For people who did not prepay for parking will have to use W23 lot located at 990 State St.. There may also be limited parking across the street from the CRC and is located at 355 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318. Those decks is a short walk to the building from there. Please don’t park anywhere else, unless you want your car ticketed, booted or towed. Due to construction around campus please try to carpool to alleviate congestion. Teams, please be advised that barring a miracle, traffic is still bad in Atlanta. Please advise your swimmers and families to build in a little extra time to account for any delays.
