Aria Sakhardande, 5 years old, jumped in that cold water without complaint and swam her heart out! Sisters Saina (11) and Savi (7) both swam best times and by the end of the meet knew the fastest route to the teams staging area on their own :) This in itself is a huge accomplishment: this meet is infamous for NS’s (no-shows) aka missed races. The Junior Coaches did a PHENOMENAL job of getting every kid on our team to their events on time; our team trophy is the direct result of their organization and leadership last night.
Of the 26 swimmers who competed, 23 placed in the Top 10 in their event(s), contributing to our overall point score! See below for our point contributors!

Swim(s) of the Meet:
Troy Sopa WON the 50 back and 50 fly last night! I saw many of our younger swimmers cheering for Troy from the bullpen! Raymond Feng re-broke his 9-10 boys 100IM record last night- finishing 2nd. Raymond’s two Top 3 swims occurred in the 11-12 age group last night (as a 10 year old)! The 9-10 Girls came in SECOND in both the 100 medley and 100 free relays, dropping 4+ seconds from their best time in both races! Our 7-8 Boys 100 free relay got SECOND in a very close race, missing 1st place by 2-tenths of a second! Six swimmers got Top 3 finishes! Noah Lindberg officially became a “swammer” last night- swimming the last competitive race of his career in the 100 IM (and scoring points for the team in the process).
Lastly, a huge thanks to Barbara Stubbs, Tenise Chung, Adam Steele, Visvesh Sathe, Julie Lawler, Katie Shenoy, and Davis Nall who volunteered at the meet last night. Your selflessness did not go unnoticed! Special shoutout to Katie, who stayed late to collect our trophy on top of her other 1,257 duties she performs!
