Glastonberry Meet Information - June 22, 2023

Hi, Double Gate Swim Parents!

Tomorrow's meet is AWAY at Glastonberry located at 3550 Pairpoint Place 30022.

Please plan to be on deck by 4:15 pm. Double Gate warm ups will begin at 4:45 pm, and the meet will begin at 5:30 pm.

Tents: If you have a tent/canopy we can use for the bullpen, please bring it with you.

Upon arrival, swimmers and volunteers are required to check in at the volunteer check-in station to sign in. After checking in, have your younger swimmers head directly to their bullpen. Please remind your swimmers to remain with their bullpen group throughout the meet. Bring cards or coloring for in between races.

Heat Sheets: You can find event information on our website or through the Swimtopia App the day of the meet. If you are marking your swimmer at home, please remember that event information is subject to change; it is best to wait until an hour before the meet to mark your swimmer with their events. Please write their name and age group on the back of their shoulder to help the bullpen parents.

It will be hot tomorrow afternoon - don't forget to bring items to help keep you comfortable - water, fans, chairs, umbrellas, canopies, bug spray. Please remember to help clean up before you head home.

Finally, please take a moment to review the below information provided by the host team.

Please reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions.

Meet Information:

We look forward to hosting your team on Thursday, June 22nd at Glastonberry! Our meet theme is Luau; we hope your team will join in the fun.

Here are some more details about our pool/the meet:

  • Address/Parking: 3550 Pairpoint Place 30022. Pairpoint Pl will be coned off and closed for the meet. There will be parking for the Starter, your head coach and your two head reps along the grass area curb in front of the tennis courts. Coaches and the Starter can move/replace the cones to park in front of the tennis courts. Please avoid parking along any curbs painted yellow. You can also move the cones to drop off tents, but will need to park back out on Aubusson (or another street).
    • Please remind spectators to only park on one side of the road, so emergency vehicles can pass. Signs will be displayed to help. Some may have a bit of a walk to get to the pool. If you have anyone with a handicap permit, please let us know, so we can plan accordingly.
  • Workers Needed: Our pool has 4 lanes. Please bring 4 timers, a place judge, a master recorder and a deck manager for each session. We will have a meeting with our volunteer coordinator, the starter and first shift timers & place judges around 5:10pm.
  • Bullpens: Please bring tents and your bullpen print outs/clipboards. Both teams will be in the parking lot.
  • Seating: Spectators are welcome to bring chairs on the pool deck and on the sidewalk in the parking lot that overlooks the pool.
    • We ask all parents avoid coming behind the starting blocks, unless they are a Deck Manager.
    • Shade umbrellas will be closed to allow our spectators seated above in the parking lot and the Announcer a clear view of all lanes.
  • Playground is located directly behind the entrance to the starting blocks. We try to keep our swimmers off of it as we try to avoid any broken bones from the monkey bars (unfortunately, this has happened during a meet before), and we request swimmers and spectators stay off of the tennis courts.
  • Concessions: We will have full concessions with burgers, hot dogs, pizza, walking tacos, buttered noodles, drinks, and, of course, sugary snacks. We accept cash and Venmo, and concessions open at 5pm, possibly a little earlier.
